作者简介

查尔斯·波蒂斯（Charles Portis），生于1933年，当代美国小说名家。曾参加朝鲜战争，退伍后进入大学，攻读新闻专业。毕业后从事了六年的记者工作，一度专注于报道当时风起云涌的民权运动。1964年从报社辞职，自此专注于小说创作，迄今出版了五部长篇小说，并在《大西洋月刊》上发表了多部短篇作品。
