'Look! They're coming straight at us'! Unteroffizier Heintze alerted his comrades. He took one of the tanks up in his sights, knocking it out barely 200 meters in front of the gun's position. The second tank continued to approach. It reeked of burned oil and cordite. The tracks rattled loudly. The steel monster was then in the Germans' position and rolled over one of the gun trails.
