【醫學驚悚天后】泰絲．格里森Tess Gerritsen
出生於加州聖地牙哥。母親是第一代華人移民，擁有華裔血統的她從小就喜歡窩在電影院看驚悚片，因而培養出她對黑暗主題的興趣，並反映在她後來撰寫的小說中。
泰絲畢業於名校史丹佛大學，而後繼續深造，最後取得加州大學舊金山分校醫學博士學位，於夏威夷檀香山展開她繁忙的內科醫師生涯。熱愛寫作的她，結婚生子後為了照顧兩個幼兒減少工作量，並開始嘗試寫作。
