AUTHOR BIO: Catherine Opie was born in Ohio. In the past few years, her work has been the subject of one-person shows at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles, the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago, the St. Louis Art Museum, and the Photographer's Gallery, London. Opie teaches photography at the University of California, Los Angeles, where she currently lives.
